How to Play Real Money Casino Games on your iPhone

In the last few years, a bunch of online gambling sites have started releasing real money iphone gambling apps which are available to download through the online Apple App Store.

The main advantage of releasing gambling apps on the iPhone is that because it is so popular (an estimated 40 million units are expected to be sold in 2011) it helps casinos to pick up new players whilst also allow existing players to gamble on their iPhone on the move.  This not only increases turnover and casino revenue through mobile games but it also acts as a USP or promotion for the casino.

Unfortunately for US players, most of the iPhone casino apps on the market are unavailable to US players since all Microgaming casinos (the company which developed the best casino apps with Spin3 software) had to close their door to US players after the UIGEA 2006.  An alternative for US players is either to wait for a US-friendly casino app to be developed or you can use a download mobile casino games the normal way through WAP networks.

For non-US players, there are a handful of casinos that have launched real money gambling apps, enabling you to play smooth flowing games such as slots, video poker, roulette and keno for real money.

The best casino sites that have released apps so far are Wild Jack Casino, 32Red and All Slots.  Each of these have apps that are available to download at their online website or at the App Store.

In terms of iPhone games selection, the apps themselves are obviously a lot more limited than online casinos which have more than 400 games.  Each of the above iPhone casino apps only have around a dozen games each, however more are constantly being developed and released each month.  You can also play the most popular games on your iPhone too such as video poker, roulette, blackjack, royal derby, slots, keno and scratch cards.

One of the reasons that there are a limited number of casino apps for the iPhone is that Apple has made it clear that they will not list any Apps in the iPhone App Store that use Java or Flash technology, since this can slow down the connection and has other problems with bandwidth and signals.  This is the reason that many casinos and sports betting sites offer apps for the Android and 1600 other mobile devices but exclude the iPhone.
